Though it is illegal to deny the entry of a service dog, they do not allow service dogs in their restaurant. (Food was good.)
So happy to have authentic New York pizza here in western NC! This is the first place that I've been to down here that knows how to make a calzone with the right ratio of ricotta and mozzarella with an absolutely perfect crisp crust. The meatball parm heroes are to die for--the meatballs are sliced so they don't fall off the sandwich and are plentiful. The sauce is almost as good as I make at home in my own Italian kitchen ... and the pizza, right out of Brooklyn--the real thing.
What a super friendly place! We had a large party that tried Stromboli, penne carbonara, and pizzas. The Stromboli was delicious. The carbonara was made with homemade alfredo sauce that was so yummy. The people who ate the pizza said it was good, but nothing special. We were only in town visiting, but very happy that we stopped here for a fabulous Italian meal.
I'm from Philly, so I know what good Italian food & pizza looks like & tastes like. Ferrara's is the only place to go if you want Italian or pizza. Great food, great service.
Truly excellent food and service. The best pizza that we have tried in the Clyde/Waynesville area. Great service as well!
Great authentic Italian dishes at affordable prices. Lots of choices, including pizza. Our foursome ate: mussels with white wine sauce, shrimp parmesan, veal & shrimp parmesan and spaghetti with meat sauce. Everyone loved our dishes and definitely will be back. Small seating area, very casual, wine & beer available. No draft - hope they change that. Best place we never knew was there. Glad we found it!
This is now one of our favorite Italian restaurants! Just had lunch after having dinner here last night, and will probably go ago before we leave Sunday. Service is excellent. Food is wonderful! Highly recommend it!
I'm from NJ... Where we have a great variety of ethnic foods! Ferrara is the ONLY place in Western Carolina where you can enjoy REAL AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD! Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Great homemade dishes on special daily and other treats! And..... REAL PIZZA! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
I was in Waynesville for 2 weeks in March and ate here multiple times. The atmosphere was surprising to say the least. I never would have expected to hear jazz music in a pizza place at a strip mall. I tried several of their dishes, and it was worth coming back for time and again. Service was mixed at times, but the first server was phenomenal. She left a lasting impression that staved off other average ones. I'd definitely recommend it. Lunch hour gets pretty crazy here though so plan accordingly!
New to Yelp, but had to write in about this place. We staggered in after a long work week on Friday, looking for a little comfort food and found it. Our server was amazing, her name was Sierra, like the beer. (LOL) Perfect combo of friendly and professional The special was Chicken Cordon Bleu and she sold us on it. She also sold me on a Pinot Noir with my dinner and my partner in crime a couple of domestic beers. The chicken was amazing, just what we needed-- but she wasn't finished there. Being a female and hearing what a hard week I had had; she recommended for dessert a chocolate cannoli....hello, its chocolate. I also ordered a Moscato to go with. Her service combined with the right food recommendations made our visit a night to remember!! We will be back and tell everyone how great it was.
Best pizza by far in Haywood County. This is authentic New York pizza. Can't wait to go back
Absolutely Amazing! My new favorite pizza place!!
Good food and menu. Service was great. Happened to be out of most desserts. Restaurant is small so waiting can be a problem. Will definitely be back.
Best pizza in the area, they even have gluten free which is so appreciated. And they deliver!
We've been here twice now and will be returning, for sure! The first time, my husband and I both got lunch specials (I had the 2 slices of pizza, he had the slice of pizza with a side salad), and with tip included, we had lunch for $20, and it was delicious. It's so hard to find a good pizza here in WNC. There are fancy pizza places which are fine, but plain old NY style pizza is also a treasure to be found. The menu is pretty extensive. On our second visit, I had the spaghetti and meatballs lunch special which came with a side salad and really tasty garlic knots. We've heard that Ferrara's is opening another restaurant in our town of Canton (just a few miles east), and we're anxiously awaiting that to happen! My only wish is that there was more seating in the Clyde restaurant. It gets very crowded at lunch, and some folks just can't/won't wait for a table, which is a shame. This is a gem of a restaurant in Clyde.
First visit today and I can't wait to go back. The pizza by the slice is the best I've ever had and I've been to NYC several times. The waitress was a doll to the table, just precious- she made me feel like I was family. After the pizza, I tried a cannoli at the suggestion of my friend (who is a regular) and wow!!
The service is just amazing. They are family friendly and a perfect addition to our town. I will be back and seriously already planning to return tomorrow. Check them out-we are the lucky ones to have them here not just for the food, but for the people and the experience. It's just perfection. It's now my favorite.
Excellent food, freindly staff, all around great experience.
Authentic food served by cool people. Pizza is fantastic.
We had to check it out since we have been dying for a good pizza since leaving CT. Have waited 3 years, but now have found it. A perfect thin crust, New York style pizza. We tried the meat one. Large, 8 good slices. Wicked good! Delish. Can't wait to try an entre. We had the calamari, perfect amount for 2 people, lightly breaded and fried, missed that from back home also. And to have tentacle pieces is a treat, lots of places wont serve those, we love 'em. Thanks for coming to Clyde. We look forward to dining again with you. Servers were very friendly with everyone!
After reviewing the menu online I decided to give Farrara's a try. Also interested in trying their pizza. Always in search of the best pizza. Anyway my wife and I stopped in on Saturday about 3:15. Place was almost full, a good sign. Being in the middle of a strip mall we didn't expect to much. Decor was kinda what we expected but all areas of the restaurant were neat and clean including the bathrooms. We were seated right away and our server, Alexis was right there to take our order. She promptly brought us some water and took our order. She was very knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered the Farrara's Special pizza with anchovies on one half to start. My wife was pretty adamant about not letting any swim over to her side. Our plan was to just eat one piece as an appetizer and taking the rest home. So I ordered the Mussels Pollisipo in garlic white wine sauce and my wife had the Eggplant Rollatini. A small salad came first, nothing special but fresh. The pizza came and it was to die for. Best pizza in town. It took all my strength to only eat one piece but I didn't want to fill up on it and not be able to enjoy my meal. Our order came very fast and it didn't disappoint. "Delicious". It also came with some spaghetti and sauce and fresh garlic rolls. Portions were big and we had plenty leftovers for tomorrow's meal. Alexis, our server was very nice and attentive. We never had to wait for anything. We added Farrara's to our favorites list and will be returning soon.
Ordered delivery. Easy ordering and fast delivery. Listened to other reviews and got two pizzas that were DEVOURED. Also got the penne with chicken and broccoli. It was pretty good (not amazing), but came with the garlic knots that were RIDICULOUS. I could've eaten 32 of those. Don't screw up by not trying those. Will definitely be ordering from there again and can't wait to try new menu items!
To begin, my friends and I have came here twice already! We absolutely love this Italian restaurant. Jemma was our server, as she provided top of the line spectacular service. I've had the eggplant parm and the pizza; both were excellent!!! Highly recommended!! If it's busy, do not worry Sue who's waited on us and Jemma work so well together you are guaranteed top of the line service and food!! We are amazed, keep up the great work. We will return regularly!
Finally we have NY style pizza in the Waynesville, NC area. The food is great and the staff and owners are fantastic. We have only done take out but the atmosphere of the restaurant is friendly and inviting. Pizza is the best in town.
Had our first dinner here tonight and it was outstanding. The service was top notch. The Menu easy to navigate and then the food. We had Margarita Pizza and an shared an Antipasto Salad. House Italian dressing was so original. The Pizza was perfect balance of crust and toppings and the Salad a good blend of veggies and meat and cheese. We will go back and next time have wine. It is a real glass we saw go by and has a real serving . This was a great experience and will go back,, a full menu to try .
Waynesville, Consumer Base here. The pizza has landed. Yep, we finally got the right stuff! Pizza that is straight up pizza- New York style and classic. I am not a pizza snob; I am just trying to be as accurate as possible.
They got garlic rolls, chicken parm, appetizers, soups, salads, calzones, strombolis, seafood, gourmet pizza, eggplant and chicken entres, pasta, baked pasta, subs, kids' fare, dessert (toasted almond cake, yo), and lunch specials for that special someone. Or that Italian someone. Or that someone who eats pizza nonstop, not even stopping at snacks posing as pizza.
Very clean inside with pleasant tunes playing that will bring you back to the old neighborhood and that time that Tony...oh, well, you know.
Delivery is ten bucks minimum. There is a delivery charge. Five miles out. They also have "Boar's Head" and appreciation days- Monday and Tuesday, 5 to 9 pm, you can get a large cheese for $9.95 plus tax. Sweet.
Hours are Monday through Saturday, 11 am to 9 pm. Closed Sundays.
This place is going to give other nearby pizza places a run for their money. It is good, vital, and done right. Feel free to eat a slice of culture. Or two.
I hate to not be totally original, but honestly Amy S. pretty much covered the bases in her review from several weeks back. Let's face it. When it comes to choosing places to eat, who are you going to trust more? I put my faith in the regular and faithful Yelpers!
It was because of Amy's review that we decided to give Ferrara's a try this evening. We are so glad we did!
The restaurant has been remodeled quite nicely. The walls are painted nice warm colors of yellow and green. There were beautiful paintings and decorative items adequately placed. The dining room is small and inviting but still provides adequate spacing between parties.
We were greeted and seated promptly. Sue was our lovely waitress. She was very pleasant and expedient. We both ordered salads but when she discovered that French dressing was not an option, my wife decided to forego the salad. When Sue brought my salad to the table she brought a couple of garlic knots to my wife as a consolation for not having the dressing she preferred. We ordered the Ferrara's Special pizza for dinner. We were delighted when it was served. The crust was fantastic. The toppings were plentiful but not overloaded. They were cooked to where the vegetables still had a slight crunch. The Italian sausage was how it like it; sliced instead of the processed "rabbit pebbles" that are so common.
There was ample staff that kept the tables cleared/cleaned. All of the servers walked the small dining room frequently to check on patron's needs.
This was a very nice experience with a new local business and a very hospitable staff.
We will be regulars and I recommend you give them a try!
